Ferrari 849 Testarossa AF Design Preview

The Assetto Fiorano trim level is available as an option for the 849 Testarossa, with additional exclusive features. It was developed to maximize dynamic and aerodynamic performance. The Assetto Fiorano version reduces weight by around 30 kilograms, achieved through the extensive use of composite materials such as carbon fiber and titanium. Specific features also include a new, particularly lightweight tubular seat with black Alcantara upholstery, which saves approximately 18 kilograms compared to the standard seats, and 20-inch carbon fiber wheels that reduce unsprung mass and improve responsiveness during acceleration and braking.

The Assetto Fiorano model also brings significant aerodynamic changes. The front end features larger flicks, while the front underbody is equipped with an additional pair of vortex generators that improve local airflow and thus ensure perfect aerodynamic balance. At the rear, two twin spoilers replace the standard design: these are spoilers with highly rising aerodynamic profiles between two vertical endplates. This solution allows for a threefold increase in vertical downforce compared to the twin-tail design without significantly compromising drag.
