Fast rendering of displacement map on plane

Description
This video presents a rendering algorithm for displacement map on planes.
The main idea is taken from the paper "Displacement map on plane and sphere" by Elodie Fourquet (Graphics Interface 2008).
I worked for a few months on the extension to represent and render complex models. My results are also presented in the video.
Pictures at the end are computed in 512x512.
The models are not very nice since I'm not really a modeler ^^ However, this shows the kind of things that are possible to do with the akgorithm.
