Experts take on the second inter-Korean summit talks

Description
Let's now take a look at what the experts are making of the latest inter-Korean summit.
Kim Hyesung has this report.
Another surprising, historic meeting between the two Koreas.
It was held for two hours on the North's side of Panmunjom as part of efforts to continue inter-Korean dialogue and to salvage the North Korea-U.S. summit for June, which was abruptly canceled on Thursday by U.S. President Donald Trump.
Saturday's summit meeting was only the fourth time the leaders have met face-to-face since the Korean War, but it was the second time they met in just one month.
"Another significance of this development is that South Korea's role has been reconfirmed and revalidated with President Moon Jae-in in the middle talking to both sides very closely. I think it's very significant."
President Moon Jae-in said during the meeting that he relayed President Trump's desire to end hostile relations if North Korea implements complete denuclearization.
He also said that North Korea is committed to holding a summit with the U.S. and to the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
Directly exchanging opinions, leaders from the two Koreas showed how they were able to get together quickly to tackle a crisis in a way that until recently would have been almost unthinkable.
Yet, experts say one key thing remains unclear -- the definition of denuclearization.
"President Moon was asked about whether North Korea will commit to CVID -- that is, complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearzation. But he did not give a clear answer. This remains a critical sticking point between the North and the U.S., that needs to be ironed out to reach any kind of agreement."
As President Moon Jae-in delivered his first public comments about the surprise meeting, President Trump said the date and place for the summit talks with North Korea haven't changed.
If the summit happens, and if it's to be a success, the devil will be in the details.
Now all eyes are on the upcoming inter-Korean high level talks on June 1st and the preparatory meetings between Washington and Pyongyang to iron out the agenda to help achieve a successful North Korea-U.S. summit.
