Description
This is the completed Pixed Video I made!
This was made for my Media Studies NEA, I chose the song "Earth, Wind & Fire" by BoyNextDoor for my music video project. I designed a pixelated video that was to play before the actual music video does. I wanted the video to feature a little pixel version of myself to 'guide' the viewer in selecting which music video to watch to fit with the youthful and fun vibe of BoyNextDoor's music. I created a character, on the website Pixilart, with multiple versions: hand up, mouth open, mouth closed, standing, walking, etc. Then I drew three pixel art boxes, each representing one of their albums, along with darker versions of each box that would change colour when the 'mouse' hovered over them. I repeated this for six more boxes, each corresponding with a song on the album that features "Earth, Wind & Fire."
After creating all the pixel art, I used DaVinci Resolve to edit it together with one of BoyNextDoor’s songs, adding mouse click sounds and text. It was a very long and meticulous process, but it was incredibly fun, and I’m really pleased with how the video turned out.
