I think I need conditioning, I still think for myself,
Can anybody help me to preserve my mental health?
I think I need sedation for all the things I've seen,
At night time i just lie awake and scream a silent scream.
We wed ourselves incessantly to ever mounting debt,
Blinded by the Adspeak, get all that you can get.
Saturate the market, they know it makes good sense,
You've been covinced you need the thing now get up off the fence.
The masses have been hypnotised by the common denominator,
The proven commercial strategy, buy now pay later.
Get out in that Brave New World, spend what you haven't got,
There's nothing wrong with what you had but sod it, scrap the lot.
The new one's got more buttons on, it's faster by ten seconds,
Like moths and flames we seal our fate when the Adman beckons.
The economic paragons display their fiscal might,
They turn the screws of interest, watch desperation bite.
The profit line is paramount, protect it at all costs
Disguise the fact they shut the plant, a community's been lost.
Beelzebub the Adman runs the new commercial Hell,
I'll take a long sleeved jacket and a quiet, cushioned cell.
