Tumultuous mechanical ferocity beneath me
Manifest in it's authoritative staccato roar
Formidable presence and bearing
Cause effortless miles to wane.
I glimse her in the mirror,
Her raw beauty catches the levelling light
And returns it enhanced.
Hills mature into mountains of impossible colour
As the liberating spirit evolves.
The Golden Eagle understands,
I physically salute him in his total freedom
As he crosses my path in three dimensions.
The first fragrance of the saline siren
Lifts my spirit further.
Our spirits.
I feel her shift position
And hug in anticipation
As we steadfastly traverse the terrain
On the way to
My island.
