By entangling the Hulk in adhesive foam, Talbot attempts to acquire a sample of him, but the Hulk manages to break free. Talbot is slain when he fires an explosive round that ricochets, and Ross assumes command. The Hulk departs from the facility, engages the military forces in combat within the desert, and then proceeds to San Francisco to locate Betty. She persuades Ross to escort her to the Hulk, thereby restoring Bruce to his normal state.
