Even though Wordpress and most other blogging sites have their own RSS feeds, there are many reasons that you will want to take control of your own feed using Feedburner. For me, the main reason is that it makes your program portable. If you move your blog from one site to another, for instance you move from the free hosted sites at Wordpress.com to a self-hosted blog, you can just change the feed details and your subscribers will not lose their connection with your blog and podcast.
