Emma Haze - I Am A Shell

I am a shell, of what I used to be,
Used to be happy, so free,
But now, oh now, just look at me.
I am always so sad, always crying,
Look at what you did to me!

You promised me things,
they never came true,
Said you'd love me forever,
guess forever came to soon,
You told me so many things,
but now, I refuse to believe.

You made me love you, a little more,
with each passing day,
You knew you'd branded me, that I would
never, ever, be the same,
You knew that when you left me behind,
it would break me apart,
Yet you did it anyway, and you broke my
poor, trusting heart.

I am but a shell, a shell of what I used to be,
so happy, laughing, innocent and so free,
But now I am always sad, no longer laughing,
now I am always, always, crying.

So within my cold room, with no lights on,
as I weep for my broken, shattered heart,
All the memories of you and I, come back to me,
all those memories, always so haunting,
I shall spend all eternity within that room, filled with
such sadness, such memories,
And I shall remember why I should never fall in love,
ever again.
