I can no longer fit in my own shadow,
Only linger in its place,
Does no one notice the human here?
A body, no face.

I can feel the blood flow disease throughout my veins,
But never reaching my skins surface,
I do not blush discomfiture, or writhe within my pains,
A body, no face.

I can see the twists of ribs protruding out my chest,
And hide beneath this shapeless lace,
Forcefully I wake up, and try to look my best,
A body, no face.

I can see I cause distress by the way I fell,
And I pray I’ll win this race,
But it’s me that’s caught inside this shell,
A body, no face.
