My heart is a vacant canyon
Since it was drained of compassion
My blood flows without sympathy
Without empathy
My candle forever dimmed by the sun
Lost in bitter reverie
Disengaged glances towards the ground
The wind just screams through my soul
Tear me apart
Sometimes I pray to shatter
Sometimes I pray to be saved
Tonight I’m waking misplaced
If the moon could breathe she wouldn’t take my side
The absence of your adoration
Serenade me, my beautiful requiem
The shadows they sing to me also
Keeping me sentient, keeping me alive
But I plead the world to let me go
Though I would only beg her to let me stay
Because until your fragile soul
Discards its last breath
There is always that hope lingering within me
That you will come for me
And fill such a vacant canyon
With a long awaited love
