Elke Nigro - Violence
3 Views • Jun 17, 2014
Description
his face, a partial solar eclipse.
My friends tell me there is trouble in
his house,
His abused mother, a violent spouse.
My guy is never rough, so why the black
eye, the swollen cheek?
His answer is a frown,
he does not speak.
Our reflective silence is immense,
almost impenetrable, dense.
I stroke his tender cheek,
His soft, gentle eyes make me weep.
