She asks him whether he has missed
the turn in the road.

He ignores her.

Their marriage has a set pattern:
All questions allowed, but no answers
required.

If an issue is important enough,
she asks the same question over and
over,

And when he doesn't have a ready reply,
he answers calmly:
'Honey, I don't know, or 'Honey, I'm not
sure, I'm still thinking about it.'

Until one day, she asks him:

After all these years, Sweetheart,
would you still risk your life for me?

He sings,
'Here comes the bride all dressed in white',

She is puzzled. What kind of answer is that?
It isn't even their anniversary.

Her 30 year-old wedding gown
doesn't fit anymore, so the next day
she buys the latest convertible fashion,
a beautiful white gown that can be worn as a
cocktail dress after the wedding,

'Here comes the bride all dressed in white',
she sings gliding down the staircase,

For a long moment, he is totally dumbfounded.
and then he shouts,

'I am in trouble, please, rescue me! '
