Elia Michael - A Back Seat
4 Views • Oct 29, 2014
Description
I write because I love to play with words
And though I am not great, my heart yet beats
In quickened way, as quickly as a bird's
When I compose or read some poetry.
I know that I have not been quite as blest
As others have, to write beautifully,
But I do try, I try my very best.
I know I'll never be as good as them,
But does that mean I never use my pen?
Is it right for you and I to condemn,
To say poetry is beyond my ken?
We cannot all be one of the elite,
There are so few who occupy this seat.
