Electric Lady - Girl

You look like a diamond in a summer breeze
The sun can't even outshine you
The clouds worship you like the gods do
Electric Lady touch me, touch me with your poetry
It's the only medicine I will respond to
Am I talking to myself? or is she talking to herself?
What's going on?
I don't know but I'm pretty turned on
The radio is blasting early in the morning
While history repeats itself inside these walls
For the walls can hear everything inside these walls
Whisper a dream and it will come
The world is a brilliant place
The colors are extraordinary
But where is our privacy?
There are children everywhere
Laughing and screaming
Is there any chance of you being that girl again?
She used to love the stars and the clouds
What man has captured her now?
Or is it me who is the girl?
I don't know
I have glitter in my eyes
The mansion and the swimming pool look glamorous to me
Catch me before I faint
If only I were a rich girl.
