Electric Lady - Electric Lady

The mysteries of the universe collide
Making it easier to convince the gods that I'm really in love
In love with a man who shares my interests
I shall clip Cupid's wings
And send him on his way
Now this bow and arrow I possess
Signifies me as the queen of my destiny
And my throne is ten feet tall
I need a ladder to climb all the way to the top
For success can lead to even more success
To love a man is to be faithful
Though sometimes it can be a real power struggle
My world revolves around him
Let it be known that I'm inspired by him
And when I reach my ultimate goal
He shall be inspired by me
The pictures I paint
Are nothing compared to a king
But a splash of color makes the fantasy come alive
Diamonds, pearls, and rubies
Are nothing compared to a queen
For a queen outshines them all
A statue of elegance
Only a king can appreciate.
