I can't allow those words
to escape my lips.
Its a shame they are
tumbling out now.
I am indignant to them.
My hand twists on my hips.
October you left with the leaves.
You turned off all the
bright colors for me.
So I'm left loving
you in the dark.
If only I could disintegrate
those words moving on.
Now I'm left crumbling
inside without you.
You failed to tell me that
you were moving on.
I am too late to move on.
I always catch myself
hoping on your last letter.
You'll be back next October.
You shall brighten up a disaster.
You have the power to change
the forecast of my heart.
Moving on is for the birds.
Moving on is for the clouds.
Moving on is for the seasons.
I hate the words moving on.
Though I will never be immune to time.
