I'm not wearing a mask, I'm not buying a cape, and I left my tights in the closet. But last month I turned into a superhero. I went to a developing country and I knew that I would have to have Super Flexibility.

Now I'm a recovering perfectionist - so I'm not usually flexible. And I thought I was still locked into this stereotype. But something had changed.

I've never been inside the White House. I've never been inside Buckingham Palace. But when I went to the presidential palace in Guatemala, I got on the INSIDE. It was an amazing place.

They setup a live broadcast with the president and our superhero friend John Maxwell. But John wasn't there to sign autographs or give a nice speech. He was there as a statesman.

John was about to unleash super rhetoric from the 1960s. It was like Bobby Kennedy John F. Kennedy Martin Luther King Abraham Lincoln all rolled up into one. He called every citizen to embrace super values for a super country.

And just as quickly I realized I wasn't there to tweet pictures. I was a superhero too! In a few hours, I would be making history with the others.

BEEP! 4 AM the alarm clock goes off. And suddenly everything changed. No more free time, No more options. No more information! We were so busy staying in the moment we didn't even care about these basic details.

Before my first audience I discovered another power - super bloopers! I made more mistakes than anybody else. But I owned up & told everybody hey I just made another mistake - and it's OK. Because we are flexible facilitators not perfect performers. So they wanted to be superheroes! 

Maybe you couldn't make the trip. But you have a superhero moment right in front of you! If you see that challenge, match it up with your gifting, strengths and passion. And if you'll be flexible enough to Jump into your challenge! It will draw the greatness out of you - and you'll be a superhero too.
