Dry Fire Practice - Lever Action Rifle - Hand Positioning
12 Views • Apr 29, 2011
Description
Holding the Rifle
Wrap your support hand around the four arm butt cap to solidly anchor the rifle against your shoulder. Holding the rifle closer in won't give you the stability that you need and your accuracy may suffer.
Working the Action
Your lever hand only works the action and pulls the trigger, and should not be used to support the weight of the gun. Keep this hand loose and fluid. Try not to wrap your levering thumb around the rifle at any time, this will slow you down. If you keep your thumb flush with your hand you may be able to shave up to one second per round!
