Description
Ahmad Sarmast, son of famous Afghan musician Ustad Salim Sarmast, has returned to Kabul to reopen the only vocational school of music in Afghanistan, closed down by Islamic extremists in 1992. As part of his vision to revitalise his country’s rich music culture Ahmad has a deeper, more personal quest: to give Kabul’s street kids and orphans the chance to go to the music school; as well as giving them a vocation and to, the healing power of music will transform their damaged lives.
