Dr John Celes - Sonnet: Death and Me
0 Views • Jun 12, 2014
Description
Like the leaf-bare trees of the cold winter,
Like the warped bones/ tusks of dead elephants,
Death devours my body contour.
Like a moisture-rusted iron object,
Like a weather-crumbled rocky boulder,
Like an abandoned aero-plane project,
Death closes my mighty life’s book-folder.
Like the melting snows and ice of a peak,
Like the quicksand in the dry river-bed,
Like the vanishing waters of a creek,
Death has proclaimed my functional state- DEAD!
Like a detonated bomb and missile,
Death disintegrates my body profile!
