DR Congo - AFCON 2015

DR Congo had a brilliant AFCON 2015, after qualifying through the group stage on goals scored they beat rivals Congo coming back from 2-0 down, all after the legend Zakuani was run over by the medical golf buggy. In the semi finals they met eventual winners Ivory Coast and unfortunately lost despite defensive heroics from Gabs. DR Congo went on to win the 3rd place playoff against Guinea, 4-2 on penalties after a goalless draw.
Zakuani made 4 appearances starting 3 of DR Congo's 6 games. The only goals conceded whilst Zak was on the pitch were against Yaya Toure's Ivory coast.
