Doug Jones - A Dark Dream

running from an old shame
like an outlaw from a train
chased along by a posse
there's no rest for me
it's in shadows we find
things can be most unkind
an old hag with a stick
hitting what makes me sick
on a spit tortured souls turn
charred black as they burn
hurry and escape this place
scurry away, hide his face
but the blinding flashes
where the binding clashes
are surely hope and love
purely to cope, a new glove
where dark dreams are lit
by a stark queens wit
