Doctor Ubani kills patient

18th June 2010. UPDATE-The British General Medical Council has barred Ubani from practising his incompetence in Britain permanently. Doctor Daniel Ubani killed a patient in Britain through sheer incompetence and gets away with a small fine and a suspended sentence! David Gray died after he was given more than ten times the recommended daily dose of diamorphine, according to his family's lawyers. Police had been preparing to arrest Mr Ubani for manslaughter when he returned to Britain for a General Medical Council hearing in London in January 2009. But Ubani failed to turn up. His lawyer admitted to the Daily Mail that Mr Ubani had deliberately chosen a trial in Germany to avoid being tried here for manslaughter. Instead he only faced a charge of bodily harm caused by negligence. He received a suspended sentence and a £4,500 fine.
