Dennis Lambert - Adrift
3 Views • Jun 12, 2014
Description
The ocean is vast,
The sky stretches out,
Too far above the mast.
Our ships are adrift
Upon the open sea:
The drifting speck of you,
The drifting speck of me.
“Where am I going, ” you say,
“Where are currents taking me?
I am so lost and afraid,
In this blue eternity.”
“From my ship to yours, ”
I say, “Take this tether—
We will not fear this drifting
Once we have moved together.”
