Dee Daffodil - It's So Quiet here...

Today...
All my babies left the nest!
That's right...
All three have gone now...
What I notice most
Right now...
Is the...quiet...
There is no little voice
Right now
Asking for an apple
Or to have the channel changed
Or if he can paint
Or help me garden
Or come with me to do errands
Or any multitude of other things
That seem important to him
At the time...
There is no laughter
No giggles...
No snuggles!
No..'me and my buddy time'...
It's gone!
Gone, gone, gone! ! !
Now...solitude settles in...
Now...I can hear echos in this house
Now...I have 'me' time
(Whoop dee doo! !)
It's actually...kind of...lonely here...
For now...
Until he comes home
From Junior Kindergarten
At 11: 00...
And bubbles with excitement
About his day!
I don't mind them leaving the nest...
Just as long
As they remember...
Where the nest is...
When it's time to come home! !
