Dee Daffodil - ...And So...

There I was...
Sitting there wondering
Where exactly it was
That I had taken
That wrong turn...

Which one of my fatal flaws
Had turned out to be the most fatal? ? ?

And...
It wasn't as though
I'd be wondering for long...
I knew that blood flow
Would soon slow...
That breathing would cease..
And...
God willing...
Eyelids would close

Bladed instruments...
Shoved underneath
Your rib cage...
Have a tendency of producing
This kind of sleep! !

But as I sat there...
Well...actually leaned there...
Propped against the wall
I had to wonder...
Was I really...
Such a bad person...
After all? ?
