Deb Fowler - Sunrise Lei
as the waves tumble over and over blending
sea foam with sky, sand, shoreline, toes
the nights work lit by a silver moon
brings treasures to morning visitors
sandpipers scurry, seagulls scream for
their share of the morning catch
our feet leave soft imprints in the
warm wet surf, we continue our
journey towards the pier hand in
hand and hearts joined as one
I wear a delicate lei of orange & yellow,
colors as passionate as the morning sun
that has risen up to greet us.
