Deb Fowler - Black Ink

My pen hovers above white paper
words stumble in my mind ready
to spill in rich black ink

my eyes weep those words as
invisible ink they dot the pages
retreat and spill again as I pour
out my soul

no words spoken, no words written
black ink, white paper lay as heavy
as the weight of her death.
