concealing its meaning so deep no one knows
what it is saying an unbroken code
of cryptical phrases written long, long ago
prophetic and fantastic in veiled effigies
of meteorphorical lamp carrying eastern genies
that bring three mystical gifts to Thee in a barn
a disguised affirmation of festivities fair?
that annual libations make rowdy
but oft' full of good cheer
the most abstentious and doubting
set fire to a pudding, stick sausage meat up
that's pigs with herbs, full filling the end of a fowl
before we all go down to the pub
to display new plumage just opened and viewed
epiphany an epicurean and winey delight
on the day that brings an end to the night
jesting? you might have a doubt
when you look at what it's all, all about.
