Parte finale del video elaborato per la mia tesi di laurea (Facoltà di Architettura - 13 Novembre 2012).

Argomento del video è il Danteum, un tempio gloria di Dante, un episodio più unico che raro in cui l’architettura stessa cerca di evocare il contenuto allegorico e poetico di un’opera letteraria. Senza ricorrere alle arti decorative, l’architettura lo incarna nella sua essenza, grazie al sapiente utilizzo delle componenti numeriche e geometriche proprie della Divina Commedia.

Questa parte del video è volta a ricreare digitalmente il viaggio che il visitatore avrebbe intrapreso attraverso i tre regni ultraterreni, descritti da Dante con i suoi versi e costruiti dagli architetti in un’unica architettura densa di simbolismo, che fonde arcaico e moderno, luce e ombra, materia e vuoto.

Il sottofondo musicale è una combinazione di passaggi tratti dal Preludio dell’opera Tristan und Isolde (1865) di R. Wagner, eseguito dalla Bayerisches Staatsorchester e diretto da Z. Mehta.
I versi della Divina Commedia recitati e scritti sono tratti dal I Canto dell’Inferno (versi 1-12) dal I Canto del Purgatorio (versi 13-18 e 1-6) e dal I Canto del Paradiso (versi 1-12).

This video is about the Danteum, a temple dedicated to Dante, a one-of-a-kind episode in which the architecture itself is aimed to evoke the allegoric and poetic content of a literary work. Without any application of decorative arts, the architecture embodies it in its own essence, wisely exploiting the numeric and geometric components of the Divine Comedy (la Divina Commedia).

This segment is intended to digitally recreate the journey that the visitor would have experienced through the three transcendental kingdoms, described by Dante with his verses and built by the architects in one only unique symbolic architecture, that combines archaic features and modern ones, light and shadows, matter and vacuum.

A special thanks to the voices of A. Amadei as the narrator and G. Colangeli as D. Alighieri.
The music played is a combination of passages from the Prelude of the opera Tristan und Isolde (1865) by R. Wagner, played by the Bayerisches Staatsorchester and conducted by Z. Mehta.
The verses from the Divine Comedy (la Divina Commedia) that are recited and written have been taken from the l Canto of Hell (Inferno, verses 1-12), from the l Canto of Purgatory (Purgatorio, verses 13-18 and 1-6) and from the l Canto of Paradise (Paradiso, verses 1-12).
