Oh what a night for a dream,
Seemingly, vividly, happily me,
a disguise of apathy

A fire in my heart,
Started by sweet loves retreat
And extinguished by empathy

I get lost in my mind and fly so high I don’t want to come down
To face this lost love, I once had found

I run and I run, through the dark of the night,
I hear echoes of my name,
Your voice distant but constant
Left with a heart never to be the same
Your heart was the heart of hearts,
I’ve now filled full of pain

So I sit and I smoke,
Sliding script pills to weaken the choke

So I run and I run, but,
Remember this,
Know it was you, who first had my heart,
But the demon within me was with me from the start

Now everything that has come and gone,
Has now come tumbling down on me,
My heart, my soul, my everything
Now so cold and feeling empty, empty, empty

Heart of hearts, once filled with love
I’ve now filled with pain,
Will I or do I,
Have the right to love again
