Description

Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a poor but honest boy named Ahmed. He worked hard every day and used his earnings to take care of his elderly mother. Ahmed never lied and always remained truthful and honest.

One day, Ahmed went to a nearby forest to cut wood. While chopping, his axe slipped from his hands and fell into a nearby river. He became very worried because that axe was his only means of earning a livelihood.

Ahmed prayed to Allah for help. Suddenly, an elderly man with a glowing face appeared from the river and asked,
"My son, why are you so worried?"

Ahmed honestly told him the entire story. The old man smiled and dipped his hand into the water, pulling out a golden axe.
"Is this your axe?" he asked.

Ahmed immediately shook his head, "No, sir, my axe was made of iron, not gold."

The old man then put his hand back into the water and brought out a silver axe.
"Is this your axe?" he asked again.

Ahmed again refused, "No, sir, my axe was just a simple iron one."

Finally, the old man took out an iron axe from the water. Seeing it, Ahmed happily said,
"Yes! This is my axe!"

The old man was greatly impressed by Ahmed’s honesty. As a reward, he gave him all three axes—the golden, the silver, and the iron one. Ahmed thanked him and returned to his village happily.

Hearing this story, a greedy man from the village decided to try the same trick. He went to the river and deliberately threw his axe into the water. Then, he began praying.

The old man appeared again and did the same as before. When he took out the golden axe, the greedy man immediately shouted,
"Yes! Yes! This is my axe!"

Hearing this, the old man became angry and gave him nothing. As a result, the greedy man lost even his original iron axe.

Moral of the Story:

Honesty always leads to success, while greed causes loss.
