New Owner of FBar Daler Mehndi to Rename the Lounge at an Event Today
New Delhi, 20 Dec: He might be a singing sensation and known as someone who constantly reinvents himself, but this time the father of Indipop, Daler Mehndi has outdone himself. After giving music lovers across the world many a foot tapping Punjabi and indipop numbers he has now decided to provide for a dedicated space where his fans can enjoy a musical evening out with friends. Daler has proudly announced himself as the new owner of the FBar n Lounge located in The Ashoka Hotel, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. What is more interesting is that he has decided to rechristen the lounge and to keep his fans happy he is more than willing to welcome their suggestions as well. The reopening as well as the rechristening of the lounge is to be held at an event at the FBar, The Ashoka at 5PM today.
As Daler himself put it on his official facebook page, “We have decided to rechristen this place...and in renaming the existing FBAR, we seek names and suggestions from all of you. The name should bring out its non-stop dance- quotient, electrifying music and full on masti! The name selected would be used to rename the FBAR and the lucky winner will also get a gift hamper”.
It is needless to mention that his new venture has left fans across India and especially New Delhi overwhelmed and excited. Suggestions have already started pouring in for renaming their soon-to-be-favourite nightclub with some rallying behind the name DM Lounge as a homage to their favourite singing star and some coming up with names like the Tunak Tunak club, in recognition of the Tunak Tunak Tun fever that had gripped the nation in the 90s.
Powerhouse performer and Punjabi Album Songs sensation Daler Mehndi is a pioneer of sorts of the pop music scene in India and has taken it to unsurpassed heights. Inheriting music as part of family legacy, Daler Mehndi rocked the 90s Indian pop music scene with his high voltage numbers like ‘Tunak Tunak Tun’ and ‘Bolo Ta Ra Ra’. Blessed with versatile vocal skills and a knack for constantly reinventing himself, this Punjabi music king is not just a singer but also a musician, songwriter, composer, performer and a philanthropist. Becoming the owner of a nightclub is just another one of his ways of taking his musical legacy forward and ensuring that bollywood music and Indian pop songs stays close to people’s hearts.
