trudging along life's lane
clamped by soul and body;
emotion wryly dries the energy
in confusion man stumble ceaselessly.

truth, he thinks,
gathering dust of concrete material;
he doesn't know
time and tides waits for nobody;
things collected collapse in time
with tears and pain
he walks in vain
'coz now there is nothing to gain.

in dream he lives happily
happiness that comes and goes
like silver lining around dark clouds;
proudly he proclaimed his status
measured by tones of things gathered
millions of money wasted
to show
that the is the highest of all.

he clumsily desires
that world must look
at him and humbly bow
to the power that seems
so intoxicatingly weak,
without a second thought
that power will be shower of soil
in death of body.

man oh man
when will your pride be trampled;
unveil yourself,
the brilliant Self that you really are
and not the mere little self
to be paraded on the shelf of life
that in the course of time
will vanish like childhood dreams.
