cyclopseven Ram - Hunted Dove

Spreading the wings wide
she flies high across the sky
searching for a lost fraction
that was once its blood tie.

Cruel hunters with empty hearts
cared to call the dove a prey
of their guns to aim at and shoot
killing the little dove with instant fire.

Mother dove flies high
everyday casting glances on earth
fervently hoping her child will come back
and hide safely beneath her wing.

Knowing not the malicious man
hiding under the big tree
aiming at her too
with a thumb at the trigger.

Tears flow slowly falling on the hunters
still their heart melt not of sympathy
but instead, cruelty rose high like smoke
‘bang’…’bang’ and the dove came down with loud thud.

Gone once again
the trust of dove in man
with kingly make up he rules fiercely
the humble one dies a premature death.
