In the future, Night City is a chaotic megacity where cybernetic implants and crime blend together. Amid neon lights and violent streets, David Martinez—a poor student—struggles to survive in a society controlled by giant corporations.

After a painful tragedy, David discovers a Sandevistan military implant, a device capable of enhancing speed and reflexes far beyond human limits. Despite the danger, he decides to have it installed in his body. From that moment on, David steps into the world of edgerunners: outlaw mercenaries who take on high‑risk jobs to make a living.

Here, David meets Lucy, a mysterious netrunner with a dark past. Together with Maine’s crew, they dive into daring missions, facing gangs, the Arasaka corporation, and ruthless information hunters. But the more David upgrades his body, the closer he gets to cyberpsychosis—a mental breakdown caused by excessive cyberware, a fate that has robbed many of their humanity.
