Hi!
In this video I'll be introducing Canva, an online image creation tool that is easy to use and simple to understand. Canva is a great tool for creating attractive social media posts you can use for Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and more.
First, go to www.canva.com and login to your account, or create an account.
Once you're in, click on the social media design. You'll be redirected to a blank design template where you can start creating your image.
The first thing you need is a background image. Click on Background on the side bar to the left, and choose your desired background image.
Next, if you want to use an image, you have two options.
The first option is to head over to search, and choose among the categories or search for your specific image.
The second option is to click on uploads, and upload your own images from your computer.
For now I'll be using Canva's search to find an image of a flower. If you noticed, Canva has images labeled free and those that have prices when hovered over. You can do the same as I do and use the free images, or you can purchase an image if you really like it.
Now that I've selected and image, I can choose to resize it, change its color, and even make a copy of it amongst plenty other options you can do with an image.
Next thing I want to do is add a text. Click on Text, select Add Text, or Add Subtitle Text, or Add a Little Bit of Body Text, whatever floats your boat. For now, I'll be selecting Add Text. A text bar will appear in the middle of your design. Choose whatever font, color, or size you want for your text and type in your message. Reposition your text and make other adjustments the way you like it.
Once you're satisfied with your image, rename it above and then download it. And there you go! Once it has finished downloading, you can see it in your Downloads folder, all ready to be posted on social media.
Congratulations on your first created image, and have fun creating more on Canva!
Thank you and have an awesome day!
