Craig Anderson - Poets

Description
Or does the real person lurk unseen
Are all the smiles smokescreens of deceit?
Because you don’t like the real you.
Do we hide behind keyboards and words?
To hide the real feelings we hold so dear
Everything in our world has shattered
Our own true feelings are the only thing left unscathed.
We dare not chance them to be seen in the
Cold light of the real world afraid that someone will
Pick them up and smash them to pieces too.
Self-loathing? No. But a sense of not fitting in either.
Poets are a funny lot. We have our families.
And a handful, if that; of close friends. That’s why sites like
These spawn friendships with like like-minded souls
Of people who hide from normal folk. Oh God I have just thought.
I’m not normal…Unclean – Unclean.
