Description

I wandered in the desert heat
To find the remnants of a ship
The only thing left was a wooden seat
A sailcloth too a petticoat or slip.
So I took the seat and found some string
With a few adjustments made this thing
That I sat on like a garden swing
Then I climbed to the highest peak
Sat in my swing and jumped off the cliff.
I soared upwards like an eagle with my seat
Upwards and more till I could see no more
The remnants of that ship or even my take-off point
But there lies the crux of writing freestyle where
To land this homemade bird of mine.
So I wandered for an hour or more and seen
A green and pleasant land so descended with aplomb
To my start amongst my friends on Poemhunter.com.
