Running hot blooded and young as the night
Stepped into this tunnel to pick my fight
Eyes dead ahead on a distant light

Undoubtedly suited for this task
No mother, no lover left to ask
None to see the heart behind this mask

Lost in the haze around this war
Feed the hungry; give to the poor
What again am I fighting for?

How could I believe my lie?
Dragging onward with a sigh
Chasing lights until I die

With the lives saved so few
How dare I stage this coup
When I only needed you?
