Coregulation: A Module in The Autism Parent Training Program RDI

A module of RDI, an autism parent training program, is showcased in this video. It is a simple illustration of a co regulatory activity that provides a challenge for the student. Once the regulatory pattern is understood- the guide provides small, just noticeable differences to see if the student understands his role despite variations. Once this is in place- the student is further challenged to see how he problem solves. Giving him time to figure out is essential. According to Dr Gutstein- the founder of RDI- it is these kind of challenges that would lead to better neural connectivity. The focus is on the process and not the product.
