'Conjunctio'

This is a remastered version of a soundscape I created in 2015, it's based to some degree on a Modal theme that reworks a pattern of notes into different forms. I have also included 'Droning' which features in Arabic and 'Celtic' musical traditions.

Its inspiration was drawn from my interest in Alchemy and times spent in the mountains of the Languedoc, the land of the Cathars. It's very much a 'journey' of moods and contemplation and I hope you enjoy its textures, rhythms, melodies and atmosphere.

The title 'Conjunctio' is one stage of the Alchemical process, the 'Sacred Marriage' it's a path that leads to what's called the lesser Philosopher's Stone....

Beyond that all I can say is that the piece is a musical expression of a personal quest and experiences that I thought would be interesting to 'paint' musically. It has proved just so and I've enjoyed very much conceiving, performing, arranging and producing it. Special thanks to Assemblé orchestre de alchimistes whose orchestrations descended the magic dew.
