Congress to hold nationwide programmes on MNREGA: Chacko

New Delhi, Feb 02 (ANI): Congress leader PC Chacko on Tuesday said the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) was one of the effective programmes implemented by the UPA Government. He added that the NDA-led Modi Government have literally objected the MNREGA scheme and have made by derogatory statements about the same. He further said Congress is holding programmes about this scheme in the entire country to show people that the current Government isn't keen on development. He further added that Rahul Gandhi would be visiting Anantpur district in Andhra Pradesh to commemorate 10 years of MNREGA today.
