Cyclohexane, a six-membered ring, can exist in various conformations due to rotation around its carbon-carbon single bonds. The main conformations are:

1. Chair conformation:
- Most stable, with minimal steric hindrance
- All bond angles are approximately 109.5° (tetrahedral)
- Hydrogen atoms are either axial (perpendicular to the ring) or equatorial (in the plane of the ring)
2. Boat conformation:

3. Twist boat conformation:
