Coming home

I haven't been home in years.
I had a falling out with my father.
It was a nasty fall out.
He hated the fact.
I'm gay.
He couldn't understand it.
Mom has no problems.
I won't carry on the family name.
I'm their only child.
I was the last one in line.
I couldn't help being gay.
It's who I am forever.
I can't change it.
No one can.
I recieved a letter from mom.
Dad is on the deathbed.
It may be the last chance.
Hopefully, he want to make amends.
I have doubts about that.
He claimed he don't have a son.
I'm dead to him.
He has never call me.
He has never write a letter.
He has never send me a email.
Mom want me to visit.
I really don't want to
But I don't want to disappoint her.
After all, she didn't stop loving me.
I'm doing it for her.
Most of all, I'm doing it for me.
I'm coming home.
