Colored Capsules vs. Clear Capsules

The other day someone asked us why a capsule maker might choose a clear empty capsule over a colored capsule, and why there were so many different color options. If you haven’t seen already, empty gelatin and vegetarian capsules come in a variety of colors including white, blue, red, green, purple and more. You can also buy combination colors with a different color on each side like blue/red or grey/yellow. But why so many options?
