CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENT IN PREGNANCY
Hello. My name is Dr Lindsay Beardsworth and i have been a chiropractor for 12 years.

Did you know that many women use chiropractic treatment as part of their prenatal care in pregnancy? Why?

During pregnancy with the increased weight gain at the front of the body, the entire curvatures of the spine are altered.

The consequence of this can be several joints which are being loaded too heavily and as a result they can tighten up to protect further injury. This can lead to a range of symptoms, typically lower back ache, very achey hips in bed, tightness across the upper back and bra strap level and often headaches.

Chiropractic treatment can be incredibly effective in gently and safely encouraging the normal function back into these joints, which can then alleviate the pain.

And the best thing of all. . . . it is drug free, so entirely safe for mum and baby.

You don’t have to suffer with “pregnancy back pain”.

Just to finish, a recent “hospital study that incorporated chiropractic adjustments during the pregnancy, there was a 50% decrease in the need for painkillers during delivery”!!!
