Description
Director & Producer : Aakash Nelson.
Agency :- Bates India.
Production House :- FIFTH ELEMENT
Thought Behind the Film:-
A young child working for fourteen hours a-day is what is termed as child labor. And this is something that seems a predominant feature in Indian society.
The firecracker industry prefers kids to men because they are cost effective and more efficient.
Well industries and households definitely benefit from child labor, but what about the slaving children? What about their lost childhood? What about their education? What about the fact that they lose their innocence and the twinkle in their eyes from the moment they step in for their first job? Child labor is a crime, and should be considered a criminal offence by the court of law. In fact, in the Constitution of India there is an entire Act that defines child labour in India as a crime that is punishable.
73 million working children are less than 10 years old.
While buffaloes may cost up to 15,000 rupees , children are sold at prices between 500 and 2,000 rupees.
47 out of 100 children in India enrolled in class I reach class VIII, putting the dropout rate at 52.79%.
Approximately 16.64% of villages in the country do not have facilities for primary schooling.
42 million children in the age-group 6-14 years do not attend school in India.
I hope that my Film and all the facts mentioned above were able to move you. Pls Give it a thought and do ur bit for this Cause.
Thanx
