Cheylee Miller - Ten

He was doing fine
As healthy as ever
He was truly divine
I was ten

He then fell ill
Getting weaker every day
He refused to take a pill
I was ten

He finally went
And got checked out
Slowly they gave me the hint
I was ten

I came home from school
To find them all moping
My heart filled with dread
I was ten

They told me the news
Though I had already guessed
Tears filled my eyes
It was cancer-he was dead

I stood there ten
